Step-by-Step Solution
Clean or Replace the HEPA Filter
Remove the dustbin from the robot.
Locate the latch to open the dustbin lid.
Inside, you'll see the rectangular HEPA filter.
Unclip it and take it out.
Tap it firmly against the inside of a trash can to dislodge fine dust.
If it's very dirty, washable, or old, it's best to replace it.
Never use the robot without a filter installed.
Check for Major Airway Blockages
With the dustbin removed, use a flashlight to look into the opening where the dirt enters the robot.
Also, flip the robot over and inspect the main roller brush area.
Remove the brush and its guard and feel inside the channel for any obstructions.
Advanced: Inspect the Fan Module
If the filter is clean and the airway is clear, the fan motor itself may have failed.
This requires opening the unit to access it.
The process is similar to fixing Error 1.
You will need to remove the top cover of the robot by undoing all the screws on the bottom.
Once the cover is off, the fan module is typically a black, snail-shaped plastic housing.
You can check its electrical connection and see if it's jammed with fine debris.
If it needs replacing, you'll undo a few screws holding it in place and swap in the new module.
