Step-by-Step Solution
Check the Basics
Follow the power cable from the charging dock to the wall outlet.
Make sure it's firmly plugged in at both ends.
Check that the indicator light on the charging dock itself is lit.
To be absolutely sure, plug another device (like a phone charger) into the same wall outlet to confirm the outlet has power.
Clean All Charging Contacts
Unplug the charging dock.
Look for the two metal strips or prongs where the robot touches it.
Use a dry microfiber cloth to wipe them vigorously.
If they look very dull, you can use a pencil eraser or a cloth with a tiny bit of rubbing alcohol to polish them back to a shine.
Turn the robot over.
Find the two corresponding metal plates on its underside.
Clean these in the same way you cleaned the dock contacts.
Ensure Proper Connection
Plug the dock back in.
Manually lift your Roborock and place it onto the dock.
Wiggle it slightly until you hear the audible "Charging" confirmation and see its power light start to pulse.
If it works manually but the robot can't dock itself, ensure there is at least 3 feet of clear space in front of the dock and 1.5 feet on each side for it to navigate properly.
